Who Are We?

Grapevine is an authentic Catholic young adult community for every young adult, at any point along their faith journey.

Every Thursday, we share in intellectual discussion and social life—the backbone of any authentic community.

Every Friday, we nurture the sacramental life in Eucharistic adoration as members of the universal Church.

We seek to inspire others by living true Catholic lives through our weekly gatherings and actively invite our peers into our life in Christ.

We are the right place for you.

Thursday Discussion
and Bar Hang

Every first and third Thursday we gather at 6:45pm at St. Luke's to discuss relevant topics through a Catholic lens. Then we head to a local bar to hang out, continue the conversation, and make new friends.

Speaker Series

Every second Thursday we gather for the "Through the Grapevine" speaker, usually a priest, who delivers on an informed topic, then we continue the conversation over a responsible pint at a local joint.

Our Founders

FOUNDERS
Anthony Mencini

Anthony, left, is a graduate of St. Edward High School '16 and the University of Kentucky '20.

He rediscovered his faith after being exposed to the wider Cleveland young adult community and was inspired to take a more active role. He passionately believes the Truth is spread through meaningful relationships between friends for the common goal of authentic community in the name of Christ.

He enjoys learning about history, played rugby in high school and college, and loves playing chess.

Xavier Macfarlane

Xavier, right, graduated from Borromeo College Seminary and John Carroll University. After discerning a different calling, he couldn't manage to escape a life involved in the Church. After experiencing the solitude of lockdowns and a major change in life direction, he partnered up with his life-long friend Anthony to battle loneliness and aimlessness by sharing the joy of the One True Faith.
